GOIV 17 March 1945 The aircraft B-17G # 44-6325 was observed to leave the formation at 1325 hours, 16 March 1945, at approxinately 47°30' N and The #3 Engine was feathared and losing line. He was losing His position in the formation was number three (3) porition in number two (2) box. The ship was apparently under control and no one bailed out. Pilot radioed that he was going to Russia. He was Jast seen about twenty (20) minutes out on his course and was escor ted by two (2) P-33's.
