It is assumed that the Engineer bailed out after the
Bombardier and Navigator -- and before the Co-Pilot and
Pilot, 8.S none of these four men had seen him.
Due to the electrical system being shot out, bomb-bay doors
could not be opened, nor bombs salvoed. This means of
exit was closed, and the Engineer must have come out of
the navigating hatch -- the only possible means of exit.
This hatch was the one by which the Bombardier, Navigator,
Co-Pilot and Pilot escaped.
